Joonas Tuhkuri, who received his PhD from MIT Economics in 2022, has been named winner of this year's Dissertation Award from the Upjohn Institute. The Institute's annual awards recognize the best PhD dissertations on employment policies and issues, and Tuhkuri received first prize for his dissertation "Essays on Technology and Work."
Tuhkuri is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Berlin School of Economics, and he will join Stockholm University next year as an assistant professor of economics.
